Forklift Seats

Seats for Forklifts Paradise

Seats for Forklifts Paradise - Paradise (population 223,167) is an unincorporated town within the Las Vegas metropolitan area within the state of Nevada. Paradise is governed by the Clark County Commission in conjunction with the Paradise Town Advisory Board.

Tourists going to the Las Vegas region are usually unaware that they are really in the city of Paradise most of the time, rather than within the City of Las Vegas itself. That's because Paradise contains most of the Las Vegas Strip, with its world-famous hotels such as Caesars Palace and the Palms. The city of Paradise is also where the MGM Grand, McCarran International Airport and University of Nevada are situated. The city of Paradise remains rather unknown because the Postal Service of the United States has assigned "Las Vegas, NV" as the place name for ZIP codes in Paradise. "Paradise, NV" does not appear in postal addresses. If Paradise were an incorporated city, it would be among the biggest within Nevada.

In the year 1950, the unincorporated town of Paradise was voted in by the Clark County commission. Ernie Cragin, the mayor of Las Vegas at that time had tried unsuccessfully to expand the tax base of the city by trying to push for the annexation of the Las Vegas Strip. Cragin needed money to pay down the city's rising debt and finance a development proposal. A group of Strip casino executives successfully lobbied the county for town status in order to prevent the city of Las Vegas from annexing the land. Since then the county commission has continued to preserve its authority by limiting the Las Vegas expansion.

Clark County has a population of almost 2 million, that is around three-quarters of the Nevada population. The county was formed by the Nevada Legislature during 1909. The Las Vegas Valley, a one thousand square kilometer basin, consists of the unincorporated community of Paradise and Las Vegas. Before Nevada became a state, much of the area was part of Pah-Ute County, Arizona Territory. Clark County was named for William Andrews Clark, a US senator, who was primarily responsible for routing the Salt Lake and Los Angeles Railroad through the region. The railroad significantly boosted development in the area.
