Seats for Forklifts Beaumont

Seats for Forklifts Beaumont - Beaumont City is located in the Beaumont-Port Arthur Metropolitan statistical area and forms the Golden Triangle with the cities of Port Arthur and Orange, which is an important industrial area on the Gulf Coast. At present, the city has a population of about 118,000 and is the Jefferson County's county seat.

The city of Beaumont is located south of the dense pine forests of East Texas on the coastal plane, that is roughly 30 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico. Neches River borders the city of Beaumont on the east and Pine Island Bayou borders Beaumont City on the north border. Initially, the city of Beaumont was criss-crossed by several small streams but as the city developed the majority of them were filled or converted for drainage purposes. Trinity Island is located directly across from Riverfront Park, and the other three islands surrounding the downtown area are named Clark, Harbor and Smith.

The area was first settled by Nancy and Noah Tevis in 1824. They built a farm on the west bank of the Neches River. A small community started to grow around the farm and was eventually named Neches River or Tevis Bluff Settlement. Henry Millard, Joseph P. Pulsifer and Thomas B. Huling bought the small community along with the nearby community of Santa Anna during 1835 with the intention of planning a town. It was named after Mary Dewburleigh Barlace Warren Beaumont, the late wife of Henry Millard, who passed away in 1834.

With almost 15,000 students, the city of Beaumont hosts Lamar University. The city's daily newspaper is The Beaumont Enterprise, and The Examiner is published once a week.

The Beaumont Port represents a significant portion of the financial system. The port is the second biggest military seaport in the world and is currently the largest seaport by Tonnage. Stationed at the port are both the 596th Transportation Group and the 842nd Transportation Battalion.

There are some companies that have their head offices situated within Beaumont City. Presently, Conn's Appliances and Jason's Deli are two of the largest. The Sweet Leaf Tea Company head office was first located within the city but relocated to Austin during the month of October 2003. Until it's absorption by Entergy Corporation during 1993, Gulf States Utilities also had its headquarters there. GSU's Edison Plaza remains the tallest building in the city.

The South Texas State fair has been held in the city of Beaumont since 1907 and has just relocated to its new place in Ford Park.

Within Beaumont City, the top companies consist of Beaumont Independent School District, Conn's Appliances Inc., Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital, and Christus St, Elizabeth Hospital.
