 Seats for Forklifts Coral Springs - The city of Coral Springs, Florida is situated in the states Broward County, roughly 20 miles or 32 km northwest of Fort Lauderdale. The city was officially chartered on the 10th of July, 1963. According to the Census of 2010 the population of the city was 121,096. Coral Springs is a part of the Pompano-Miami-Fort Lauderdale Metropolitan Statistical Area which in 2010 had 5,564,635 inhabitants within it.
Coral Springs was a community which was developed and planned by WCI Communities. They were originally known as Coral Ridge Properties, and were part of Westinghouse. The name of the city is taken from the name of the business. It was chosen after various proposals had been taken into account and rejected. Although the name implies it, there are no springs in Coral Springs. The actual Florida springs are situated within the northern and central areas of the state.
The city experienced fast growth during the 1970s, 80s and 90s. With every new decade, the city expanded by over 35,000 residents. Coral Springs' ambiance is rather distinctive amongst the cities in South Florida. Some of this is because of the fact that there are strict codes designed to maintain the aesthetic appeal. Coral Springs has won awards for its overall livability, low crime rate and family friendly orientation. What's more, the government of the city has maintained high bond ratings because of their effective fiscal management.
The city boast over fifty regional and community parks which could be used for leisure and recreation. There are a lot of rec and sports facilities within these parks, including baseball, basketball, aquatics, soccer, football, golf, volleyball, horseshoes, lacrosse, tennis, softball and bocce ball.
72.6% of the residents more than the age of 16 years were in the workforce, with 95% employment and just 5 percent unemployment. Approximately 32.9% were in sales occupations and office, 39.5% worked in professional and management jobs, around 12.8% in service jobs and 7.6% were in extraction, construction and maintenance occupations. There were 7 percent working in material moving, transportation and production industries. There were 0.1% of individuals working in the forestry, farming and fishing sectors.
Some of the main businesses within the city of Coral Springs consisted of educational at 17.6%, health and social services at 16.1%, retail trade 12.9%, the scientific, management, professional, waste management services and administrative industries were at 10.1%. Nearly all commuting done within the city of Coral Springs is performed by driving since it represents 81.5% of commuting trips. Next was 11.2% of individuals who carpooled on a regular basis and around 7.4% of the population either worked from home or used other methods of transportation.
