 Seats for Forklifts West Covina - The original population of West Covina in the state of California, initially came together with its 507 residents to form the city of West Covina. This was done in order to prevent a sewage farm from being created inside the current city boundaries. Since that early time, orange orchards and orange trees have prospered. The city currently has a population of 105,080 and is considered to have been "built out" to the point where the population cannot grow much bigger.
In 1969, the city finally started to begin to seriously grow. The City Hall and Police facilities were built as examples by the Joint Power Authority within the County of Los Angeles (Made up of West Covina city and the County of Los Angeles). Afterward, they even constructed a three level parking structure in the civic centre complex. Inside this complex, there is the West Covina Courthouse (renamed from Citrus Municipal Court), the Los Angeles County Regional Library, and some City Hall offices.
There is not much available land left since the city seems to be fully expanded. There is not too much industrial activity happening in an around West Covina city. Commercial and residential businesses are common, with retail companies being the most successful. West Covina within the San Gabriel Valley is an attractive place for companies to settle due to its affordable housing, accessible freeways, competitive land prices and rental rates, as well as a strong clientèle base.
The median age and the average age of West Covina are rising. There are fewer children (5-19) and young adults (20-24) than there are adults (between 25-44) and seniors (65+). The minority population is likewise growing, and is up to 77 percent of the total population. Because there are much more African-American, Hispanic and Asian citizens residing here, the city has started to focus on much more programs supporting cultural variety. They have even began concentrating on programs to benefit seniors.
The major employers in West Covina are the Target, Penske Motorcars, San Gabriel Valley Publishing Company, Macy's, and JC Penny. Due to recent redevelopment, the city is also attracting businesses like for example Regal Entertainment, The Home Depot, Elephant Bar, XX1 Forever, Hooters, Sephora, Audi, et cetera.
