Ranking 25th within the United States, the 2004 per capita income was around $31,339. Nebraska has a huge agriculture sector, and is an important producer of beef, pork, soybeans and corn. Kool-Aid was created in the year 1927 by Edwin Perkins in the city of Hastings, which celebrates the event the second weekend of each August with Kool-Aid Days. The Union Pacific's Bailey Yard located in North Platte is the world's largest train yard. In the year 1924, the product Vise-Grip was invented by William Petersen. The product was manufactured within De Witt until the plant was closed in the year 2008, when operations shifted to China. Lincoln's Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing is the only Kawasaki plant within the globe to produce the Jet-Ski, ATV, and Mule lines of product. The facility hires over 1200 people. The Spade Ranch, in the Sand Hills, is one of Nebraska's largest and oldest beef cattle operations.
