Dayton City is still a "gem", with its several shops, restaurants, sports facilities, spacious parks, lively arts community, sites of historical value and a thriving downtown district.

Dayton's thriving cultural scene comprises dance, theater, visual arts and music. The city has built a reputation as a destination for entertainment and culture due to groups like the Dayton Art Institute and the Dayton Ballet. The city of Dayton boasts several arts centers like the Benjamin and Marina Schuster Performing Arts Center, the Brookville Community Theater, the Dayton Cultural Center and the Dayton Art Institute.
